Friends,
I hope this newsletter finds you well. β Summer is upon us, enjoy it! Remember that life is now. β Whether you are clubbing in Croatia, or being the best dad you can be while your daughter is vomiting for the third time that night, there is beauty to be found in the moment you are experiencing.
The connection you felt with vast sea of people surrounding you at the music festival when you all got energized by that last song, even though they were all strangers. The sensation that you were all having this moment together, tuning into the same music, enjoying life, thinking about nothing else but that very moment, alone, but together at the same time.
Or, the deep conversation at 01:35am with your daughter. When she felt a new level of trust with you and shared some vulnerable secrets from kindergarten with regard to how certain of friends made her feel in various situations. You got to be the one she needed in that moment. The opportunity to step up, and be fully present, even though you may have been terribly tired at that point.
Connection, gratitude and appreciation for the now can be found everywhere, at any time, as long as you allow yourself to be present. β This week I would like to delve into the fact that we tend to overestimate the extent to which others notice and pay attention to our behavior, appearance and actions + the no.1 reason to issues in any relationship and the benefits of breathwork. β Let's dive into it πͺ

Ever Felt that Everyone is Scrutinizing Your Every Move?
Imagine this: You're walking down the street, and notice that you've got a stain on your shirt. You instantly feel self-conscious, assuming that everyone around you is staring at you and judging you for this minor imperfection. β βWhy Does It Happen?β It's likely due to our overestimation of our own importance, our tendency to focus on our own thoughts and feelings, and our fear of social judgment. β This way of thinking can lead to increased anxiety and decreased self-esteem, as people may become overly preoccupied with how others perceive them. Watch this short video to learn more about how the Spotlight Effect typically manifests and it's impact in order to learn to manage your thoughts and feelings and feel more comfortable and confident in your interactions with others. β π₯ This video is part of a series/playlist on mental models that forms the foundation for more complex ideas to be explored later on. β Donβt forget to subscribe π to my YouTube channel to get regular videos on how to accelerate your learning.

π« The no.1 Reason to Issues in Any Relationship
Most of us are aware of what's bothering us in a relationship at work, among friends or with our partner. β However, far too many choose to suffer in silence. This is a terrible long-term strategy. Here's why β€΅οΈ β Unaddressed tension festers breeding resentment and impacts relations. It poisons relationships and create emotional roadblocks. β Lean into those tough talks. It is not about drama, it is about clarity, connection, and growth. Together. Discomfort is the launchpad for progress in any relationship. β You can not do anything about your unknown, unknowns. Neither can the people around you. If some behavior is leading to tensions for you, chances are that the other person is not aware of it. Address it. Have the conversation. Otherwise it swells in perceived importance and may become unmanageable. β "You may not be aware of it, but when you do X, it make me feel XYZ", or "You may not be aware of it, but when you do X, the story I'm telling myself is XYZ". β When you love and care about the people close to you, you want great relations for the long-term. You want the best for them, and your relationship with them, which means releasing tensions early (before they build-up). Don't be tempted to short-term thinking, or the path of least resistance, but realize that this runs counter to long-term positive outcomes. β
