Friends,
I hope this newsletter finds you well. In late 2010 when I came across the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, I was immediately fascinated by the format. I simply loved unfiltered, long-form conversations that allow you to better understand incredible people, their stories, the nuance and depth of their views on all kinds of intriguing topics. Ever since that time, I have wanted to start a podcast of my own, to have amazing conversations with people from all walks of life that fascinate me. Through the conversations I would further develop my understanding of the world and the human experience that we call life, and hopefully the audience listening would too. However, I've not been able to justify (towards myself) prioritizing this endeavor, until now. Meanwhile, countless podcasts have been launched, some of which have offered me a lot in terms of inspiration, information and boosted my journey of personal development and self-discovery. For that I'm very grateful. That being said, this has also lead the podcasting space to become increasingly saturated. However, I will not let the fact that others' pursuing this endeavor be a blocker for me in pursuing my long-held (14-year old) dream. If for nothing else, I'll do this for myself. As part of self-actualization. Scratching my own itch. Proving to myself that I'm capable of taking action and actually doing what I wanted to do (which I've previously done in other areas of life). I'll feel proud and good about myself for doing this. It'll be worth it solely for this reason. It would be a hope, and a bonus if others' also find value in joining my learning journey, to accelerate their own learning as well... ...and so it begins, the materializing of my passion project. This week, I'm sharing 2 clips from the podcast episode with the artist HWK aka Håkon Haug Paulsen. I would also like to invite you to consider an infographic to instantly feel better. Lastly, I encourage you to prioritize sleep as it's the single most important factor to your overall health. Let's get into it 🤿

“The baseline of art is creating or giving the audience an emotion.” – Håkon Haug Paulsen
🤩🍿 I sat down for a conversation with the amazing artist HWK aka Håkon Paulsen. The above video (12:05 min) is the 1st clip from the latest episode on the Accelerated Learning podcast. 💡In this clip, Joachim and Håkon discuss some of the styles that he has explored, who inspires him the most, and why, as well as the most fun and memorable works that he has done so far. 👨 He is known to many as the artist HWK. Creativity has always been flowing through his veins. Already at the age of 10, he won a national drawing competition in connection with the Olympics in Lillehammer, where he had his drawing printed as a postage stamp in one million editions! It was at this stage, he knew that art was going to have a key role in his life. He studied Drawing, Form and Color for 3 years. Continued with art, media and communication at OsloMet, and has worked for 10 years as an art teacher. In 2015, he co-founded FITINK, a brand for urban wear, which he was involved in for about 3.5 years. With his versatile background and experience in art, ranging from clothing design, 3D design and street art. He has an easily recognizable style with strong colors, pop art inspired, urban and beautiful contrasts in his art. By expressing himself through his art style, he wants to create wonder and positive emotions in his audience.
