What is the Goldilocks Rule, and how is it typically applied?
The Goldilocks Rule is applied in various fields, including astronomy, biology, and physics. It's also known as the βprinciple of just rightβ or βperfect fit.β It refers to the idea that something has to be within a certain range, zone or threshold to be optimal or functional. The origin of the ruleβs name comes from the fairytale of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, in which Goldilocks finds that only one of the bowls of porridge is βjust rightβ for her. β Watch the short video to learn more about how this principle is typically applied across various fields and, and how to think about it in your daily life. β π₯ This video is part of a series/playlist on mental models that forms the foundation for more complex ideas to be explored later on. β Donβt forget to subscribe π to my YouTube channel to get regular videos on how to accelerate your learning.

How to Think About Money
π΅ The above quote by Tim O'Reilly, suggests that money is fuel for the journey, but not the destination in itself. β The gas station analogy hits the mark. We all need money to function, both in business and in life. Running out of gas (funds) can halt progress. β Just like a road trip isn't about visiting gas stations, life and business aren't about accumulating money. Focusing solely on the fuel tank distracts from the real purpose: the journey itself. β Build a fulfilling life, and businesses that create value. Chasing money alone can leave you empty. β Money is a tool, essential but not the goal. Thriving businesses and individuals are driven by purpose, solving problems, and making a positive impact. Financial resources fuel the journey, but does not dictate the destination. β β β‘οΈ Actionable steps
β βFind your purposeβ + What matters to you? + What problems can you solve? + What does the world need? + Use the Ikigai frameworkβ + A clear purpose guides your decisions and fuels passion. β βCreate valueβ + How can you make a positive difference? + Focus on this, and both personal and professional success will follow. β βManage your financesβ + Be responsible, but don't obsess. + Budget, track spending, and allocate resources wisely. + Remember, life's a journey, not a race to the finish line. + By prioritizing purpose, creating value, and managing your resources, you'll ensure you have enough gas to explore, grow, and drive towards your potential.

Approaches to Accelerate Your Learning
What are some tried and tested, scientifically proven methods to accelerate your learning and retention of information? β This article covers 13 approaches you may want to incorporate. β Some of them takes a bit of time to learn, such as setting up your mind palace with travel routes, but are incredibly powerful once you have properly familiarized yourself with the technique and tried it out a few times. I've used the mind palace and travel route technique a lot, especially when I was studying in high school and at university, doing certifications, or when giving presentations. β This technique, as one example, can also be combined with leveraging the gap effect and using spaced repetition for even more effective learning sessions and durability in terms of retention.
