Build Based on Culture and Use Fun, Focus & a Competitive Spirit as Fuel
🤩🍿 My entire conversation with Fredrik Austbø on the Accelerated Learning podcast is out now. Check it out! 👨 Fredrik is a Norwegian trailblazing dual-pro athlete in skateboarding & snowboarding. Already in his early teens, he became a cornerstone of Norway’s skate scene. He won several European competitions in the early 2000s, and in 2004, he was awarded Skater of the Year. He also starred in multiple snowboarding films, with 300+ yearly travel days. At 17, he made history as Norway’s youngest Winter Olympian since Sonja Henie, competing in halfpipe at the 2006 Torino Olympics, and later at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. 💡 Expect to learn how a street-born spark at age 9 ignited a pro career, and turned his passion into Olympic success and entrepreneurial ventures. Discover the value of making fun the core of any pursuit, whether for personal or professional growth. Explore the benefits of joining supportive communities that accelerate progress, using creativity with limited resources and balancing exploration with focused effort for high performance. Pick up tips for pushing limits amid ever increasing levels and risks involved, viewing competitions as opportunities to showcase preparation, maximizing limited time for skill-building, rebuilding confidence after setbacks, and staying calm through social connections in high-pressure moment. See how Fredrik's currently channeling his fun-loving energy and laser focus to pay it forward by building an epic multi-sport community hub based on culture (Playground), and leveraging his drive and competitive spirit into co-developing an eco-savvy streetwear brand along with friends (Uro Studios). All insights from an accomplished athlete that will inspire you to advance in your own endeavors. Tune in now, this is your ticket to ride! Food-for-Thought
🤔 Be Willing to Appear Foolish to Learn
The ego builds a fortress of false certainty to shield you from the sting of looking small. True learning begins the moment you trade that armor for the vulnerability of a raised hand and a honest “I don’t know.” Each time you risk appearing foolish, you open a door the proud will never see. Knowledge compounds fastest in the soil of humility, not the marble of pretense. The greatest minds in history were perpetual beginners, wearing ignorance like a badge of entry. Embrace the fool’s crown: it's the only one that fits a growing mind.

📚 Great Books to Read to Accelerate Your Learning
Books offer a timeless, structured way to absorb knowledge from experts across centuries, allowing readers to learn at their own pace without distractions. The lindy and lengthy format allows for truly in-depth understanding. They foster deep focus, critical thinking and imagination.
This article offers a well-curated overview of some of the best books that I’ve found, thus far in life. This list is being continuously updated. The list is curated and handpicked after carefully listening to or reading about which books people I’m inspired by, have found to be the most impactful. By tracking these and then selecting the ones that were most often recommended, a list emerged. I have read them all personally, and then down-selected the ones I found to be the best among those.

Until next time, be well,
